The spring weather is slowly bringing us a taste of summer, and it’s a taste we’re really enjoying. Along with spring brings a whole lot of new apps to have on your phone. I tried to stick with applications that are a little on the cheaper side, but still offer you some pretty cool features. The simplest application can be the best and most fun, but you never know until you try. By the end of this week you’ll have applications to help ease your stress, a game to help pass the time, the ability to tell any one any Canadian holiday, and have e-mails load fully – pictures included.
Check out these apps after the cut!
First I bring you a handy little application that is a MUST have for Canadian Blackberry owners. Ever have those times when you’re trying to figure out when a holiday is, and need something with quick access? Then you need to have Canadian Holidays for 2011. This application is pretty self explanatory, it gives the allowance of having a list or a calendar view of different upcoming holidays. You can pick between Official holidays, observational holidays, major Christian or Jewish holidays. Once you’ve decided, import them into your calendar and you’re good to go!
The next application I found highly amusing is titled “Stress Tank”. Simple application, but a pretty cool idea. You take a picture of whatever is currently stressing you out, and simply drop it into the piranha tank. The piranha’s will eat away at that stress, often giving you a little sense of piece. No current stress? Then play a game where piranha’s will attack random items, and you are given certain goals. You control your tank, and whatever you want it to do. Seems basic, but is actually a lot of fun, and the app brings some pretty cool ideas.
MobileQs is a must-have game for your phone. Currently on sale at 50% you have to download this application. A simple application that offers you trivia questions until you can’t take anymore. There are countless numbers of expansion packs available, and often found quite cheap. The original app comes with 1100 different questions, with a chance to have over 15 000. With 3 hints available – eliminate answers, poll the people and replace the question- you’ll never get stuck on any question. Users are claiming this to be the #1 trivia game available on the Blackberry.
It’s all too familiar. We open up an e-mail, see a whole bunch of blank boxes, go to our menu button, click “get images” and then we finally see the e-mail the way it’s meant to be seen. Show Me the Images allows the USER to take control over what they do and do not want to see. You have the choice on whether to not have any download, have only a safe list download, or have all e-mails download. Once the user chooses the setting they want, the phone follows. Simply go to an e-mail, click show me the images, and the address is immediately put on a safe list. No need to worry about losing your settings because this app comes with an automatic backup. All future updates for this application will be completely FREE!
- This application is currently listed at $1.99, but also gives you the opportunity to have a five-day trial. Get yours at ShopTheBerryFix.com
Well that’s it for me this week guys! I may not be back until the end of May, but I’ll try and bring you as many theme and app reviews as I can in the meantime. I hope you have a great week, and enjoy the beautiful weather!
