BlackBerry Curve 9380 Hits End of Life Status on Bell
8:34 pm on Apr 11, 2012 | Leave a comment

Bell Mobility has officially moved the BlackBerry Curve 9380 to End of Life (EOL) Status. What does this mean, you ask? It means that they will no longer be ordering additional stock of an item and when it’s gone, it’s gone for good. The Curve 9380 is the first full-touch Curve device from RIM, and if the EOL status after less than 6 months is any indication, it wasn’t very well received. The 9380 hit EOL at Bell on March 21st, so if you;re looking to snatch one up, head over and do so soon.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 and Curve 9380 are set to go End-of-Life on TELUS

This is definitely some interesting news coming out of Canadian carrier, TELUS. Their internal inventory systems are showing the BlackBerry Torch 9860 and Curve 9380 going to end-of-life status by the end of April. The Torch 9860 is set for April 15th and the Curve 9380 is set for April 30th. Now, what exactly does this mean for these two devices? It most likely means that Telus won’t be ordering any more of these devices, so when they sell out, they’re gone for good. If you are looking to grab either of these BlackBerrys on Telus, get down there before the EOL date to make sure you can get one.

Storm2 9550 and Curve2 8530 Coming to End Of Life On Verizon?
12:20 am on Jul 27, 2010 | Leave a comment

BBLeaks has gotten some information that Verizon is putting the Storm2 9550 and Curve2 8530 on End Of Life (EOL) status in August 2010. End Of Life status means that the device’s remaining stock will be shipped and no further shipments of that device will be made. EOL status means that an upgraded model will be coming in to replace the EOL device. With the Curve 8530 going out, this most likely means that the 9300 will be launching in a CDMA version, probably as the 9330. And we have begun to see information on an “Odin Refresh” which would be the replacement for the 9550. This is exciting news for BlackBerry fans on America’s largest CDMA network. The Curve3 and Storm3 are on the way! The details of the EOL’s are as follows:
BlackBerry Curve2 (8530):
The Curve2 is end of life – Final Shipments August
Refer to the “Stock Check” tool in POS for on hand availability
Device will retire on 8/1, replacement coming in Q3/Q4
BlackBerry Storm2 (9550):
The Storm2 is end of life – Final Shipments August
Refer to the “Stock Check” tool in POS for on hand availability
Device will retire on 8/15, replacement coming in Q3/Q4

Rumor’s have been circulating that both Telus and Bell would be moving the BlackBerry Tour to end-of-life, and the rumor’s are true. Today we have received confirmation from a source inside both Bell mobility and telus that the Tour 9630 is a end-of-life device, meaning they will work through remaining inventory but will not be ordering anymore from RIM. Now what does this mean? well honestly we are not quite sure usually an older BlackBerry will go EOL for a new device to take its place, so could it be the 9800 on Telus soon ? I guess we shall just wait and see.
