Rogers Bold 9790 pricing leaked ahead of Launch
12:58 pm on Nov 28, 2011 | Leave a comment

As we await the official announcement of the BlackBerry Bold 9790 from Carriers we’ve already started to see some leaked documents showing the term pricing. According to this leaked information from Rogers Wireless they will launch the BlackBerry Bold 9790 with a 3yr pricing of $99.99 with an accompanying voice and data plan. I’m not really feeling the $99 price point, it just seems to close to the current retail price of the Bold 9900, yet it has lessened features. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the public take this, but I guess we’ve already seen a bit of that in Jakarta.

Mystery BlackBerry REA70UW passes through the FCC – Sporting AT&T bands

We know that RIM has a few BlackBerry devices on the horizon, and many of which should be passing through the FCC. Engadget spotted that RIM had submitted a new device for FCC testing, and it’s sporting the frequencies needed to run on the AT&T network. While there is a lot that we don’t know about this device, there are some things we do know. Things like this device supports AT&T as a stated above, and that the device is running the BlackBerry 7 operating system. So let the speculation begin, my guess is that this is the Bold 9790 or all curve touch.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 coming to Indonesia November 25th?
2:23 pm on Nov 8, 2011 | Leave a comment

It’s been a Bold 9790 hail storm these past few weeks with more than enough images making their way onto the web, also the love and hate for the new button style that has seemingly made their way onto this new QWERTY BlackBerry. BlackBerry Indonesia has place a holder on their site (above image) which seems to be none other than the BlackBerry Bold 9790, after all it has the same profile as the 9790 and it is on the official BlackBerry website. Heres to hoping we hear more about the new phones in the coming days.

Yesterday we saw a shot of the BlackBerry Bold 9790 taken by Mr. BlurryCam. Today, we have some better shots of the 9790 compared side by side with a Bold 9780. The 9790 will feature the smaller form-factor of the 9700 series combined with the power and touchscreen of the 9900 series. The 9790 will also feature the 5MP camera with autofocus, something the 9900 series lacks. The Bold 9790 may be the ultimate BlackBerry for RIM fans. We shall see when RIM releases this device sometime in the next month or two. Check out more photos of the 9790 after the break.

Bold 9790 shows up for a blurry photo shoot – launching this November ?
3:35 pm on Oct 25, 2011 | Leave a comment

Looks like RIM is still on track to release another addition to the Bold family. BGR has been able to get a snapshot of the latest BlackBerry Bold 9790. I admit it’s a blurry photo but you can still see that they’ve changed a few things cosmetically. RIM decided to go the way of the Torch 9860 and place the raised hardware buttons versus the buttons that have been built into the touch screen, a choice that may leave the phone destined for the same fate as the BlackBerry Style. BGR has been able to obtain a few details regarding the new phones innards. The Bold 9790 will feature a 2.45-inch 640 x 480-pixel VGA touch display, 8GB of built-in storage, so not to far off from the Bold 9900. Rumour is pointing that this device is on track to launch in November of this year.
BGR also goes on to say that the new phone will feature the updated BlackBerry 7.1 operating system, and that it will be RIMs last major update until they move to the BBX platform.

RIM outs two new BlackBerry smartphones on the RIM Dev Blog
6:38 pm on Oct 14, 2011 | Leave a comment

While RIM preps developers for their second round of BlackBerry 7 smartphones they have inadvertently released the screen resolutions and some key feature sets of their two new BlackBerry phones that are rumoured to be announced at next weeks Devcon.
The two devices that are in update are the BlackBerry Bold 9790, think Bold 9780 but with a touch screen, and the BlackBerry (Curve?) Touch 9380. The two devices will both feature a screen resolution of 480×360, and other than that we don’t have too much more to go on. Does RIM really need to launch new BlackBerry 7 devices or should they just hold off and push through the new BBX devices.
