This officially makes the third of the new crop of 2011 BlackBerrys that we have seen in the flesh. The BlackBerry Torch 2 looks to be a very nice device. Featuring the same externals that the original Torch had, the Torch 2 also has a 1.2 GHz processor and BlackBerry OS 6.1. This looks to be what many BlackBerry fans were hoping the original Torch would be. Fast, smooth, and featuring both the touchscreen and BlackBerry keyboard. This sure seems to be the day for BlackBerry device leaks!!! First, the BlackBerry Dakota leaked out, then the BlackBerry Apollo.  Now we have confirmation that the Torch 2 will be launching soon. BGR has gotten all the specs on the new Torch 2 that is rumored to be coming to AT&T in Q3 of this year. The biggest improvement of this Torch over the current model is the new processor that runs at 1.2 GHz. The full rumored specs include:

• 3.2-inch VGA 640 x 480 capacitive display
• 8GB built-in memory

This upgrade to the Torch will be a very welcome one. All these updated BlackBerrys seem to be a great step for RIM to bring them back into competition with other smartphone makers. BlackBerry OS 6.1 is shaping up to have some nice features and with the specs on these new handsets we are seeing, we can be sure that the new BlackBerrys will be outstanding.
