Bold 9900 1 BlackBerry Bold 9900 Review

It’s been just over a year since RIM updated their Bold line up and most of the updates we’ve seen before the Bold 9900 have been incremental updates, nothing that has really made me say “wow.” The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is RIM’s latest addition to their Bold family brining along a few much wanted and needed updates. Follow me after the break to read my full in-depth review on a device that could help RIM through their technology transition to the QNX platform.

Verizon employees starting BlackBerry 7 training

VZW bb 7 info Verizon employees starting BlackBerry 7 training

Looks as though Verizon Wireless won’t be passing up on the newest lineup of BlackBerry smartphones as an internal screen show of their training system has ousted the links for BlackBerry 7 training, mainly the Bold 9930. There is nothing for the Torch 9850 so could Verizon be passing up on the next full touch BlackBerry? I guess we’ll have to wait and see as things get closer to launch. At least we now know they intend to still offer BlackBerry devices and not shift to Android or iPhone completely, we all know they love their Droid.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 launching August 9th on Rogers?

posted by Justin Lisenby at on Aug 2, 2011 | Leave a comment

Screen Shot 2011 08 02 at 1.43.43 PM BlackBerry Bold 9900 launching August 9th on Rogers?

Well this bit of news just makes the launch date guessing game even more difficult. The leaked Rogers flyer show above states that the Bold 9900 is set to launch on August 9th. We have heard that T-Mobile was getting the 9900 on August 31st, Telus on August 15th, and now Rogers on August 9th. RIM has said that they plan to make this launch their largest yet and I just don’t see how that’s possible if every carrier in every country launches on a different date.

Traditionally, devices launch in the US first, then Canada, and then worldwide. From the looks of things here, Canada may get a sizable jump on the US with the launch of the Bold 9900. We must also keep in mind that the date on the above flyer is “tentative.” So we could always see this date get pushed back. I’m not sure if RIM is trying to create hype and excitement while making us wait for an official launch date or if they are pushing back the dates due to production and development. Either way, the excitement has turned to anger and frustration for most BlackBerry fans awaiting this launch. Hopefully RIM will come through tomorrow with BlackBerry 7 Fan Night and give us some official confirmation of the new devices plus some launch dates and details.
