RIM has just introduced the BlackBerry Advertising Service via their Inside BlackBerry Developer Blog. This new service will allow developers to place advertisements into their applications to gain more revenue from their apps. As an example, you can see the ad for the BlackBerry PlayBook in the app screenshot above.

The BlackBerry Advertising Service SDK is available in Beta form to BlackBerry WebWorks developers. The implementation of this service takes less than 10 additional lines of code and can bring great revenue for developers.
