Rogers lowers the Bold 9900 to $199.99 – still more expensive than the competition
6:53 pm on Aug 12, 2011 | Leave a comment

Looks as though Rogers is feeling the heat and as lowered to price of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 to $199.99 on a 3yr term. Seems that they’ve done this to compete with Telus and Bell who’s prices are $149.99 and $169.99 respectively. So if this enough to persuade you to sign up with Rogers? Or is that $50 still pulling you to the competition?

As we get closer to the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9900, a 1.2ghz rocking…NFC equipped BlackBerry the launch date rumour mill starts to spin. Now normally we don’t like to post on rumoured device launch dates with no screen shots but this informant has a good track record. Hopefully Telus customers are getting excited as it looks like the launch is just around the corner. Let us know what BlackBerry 7 device you’re looking at getting in the comments.

Bold 9900 coming to Virgin Mobile Canada “Super Soon”
2:01 pm on Jun 14, 2011 | Leave a comment

In a tweet this morning regarding the launch date of the Bold 9900 on Virgin Mobile Canada, the company said that the device would be launching “Super Soon.” There’s no indication of when soon is, much less super soon, so we don’t have much to go on. This is at least confirmation that the 9900 is heading to Virgin Mobile Canada.
We know the Bold 9900 was announced in early May at BlackBerry World and could have theoretically launched anytime after that. We have been hearing so many conflicting release dates that there’s no need to rehash all the rumors here in one post. Let’s just say that the Bold 9900 should launch by the End of August, if not earlier. That’s not to say that it won’t launch on one carrier before another. We’ll just have to wait and see who launches it first and when.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 gets official WiFi certification
2:35 pm on Apr 26, 2011 | Leave a comment

It looks as if the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 will be debuting sometime in the near future. The Bold 9900 has just received it’s WiFi certification and revealed a little more about itself to us. We now know that the new Bold Touch will just go by the name “Bold 9900.” This signals that RIM does not plan to differentiate the non-touchscreen devices from the touchscreen devices. This most likely means that all new BlackBerry models will feature a touchscreen for navigation. The Bold 9900 is certified for WIFI a,b,g, and n, and runs on dual-bands 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. Things are looking good for the 9900 to get announced next week at BlackBerry World 2011. Who’s excited?
