10:30 am on Feb 17, 2011 | Leave a comment
Over the past few weeks things have been heating up with applications for the PlayBook popping up left right and centre. Last week I took the time to chat with the team over at Poynt to get the inside scoop on the development of Poynt for the BlackBerry PlayBook, and they had some good things to say.
First off, Poynt is scheduled to launch with the Playbook in the first quarter of 2011 which means you’ll be able to book your dinner reservations and bring your PlayBook with you…to show off to your friends of course. The second thing is that Poynts user-base has grown substantially reaching out to over 5 million users across three platforms, with BlackBerry being the biggest.
As we work on getting more Poynt PlayBook details let your self feast on the newest, highest resolution images on the net! Hit up the break for the images.

Nic Nac Noe For The PlayBook Now On BlackBerry Touch Based Smartphones
1:15 pm on Feb 9, 2011 | Leave a comment

If you were following the news from CES then you may remember a few of the apps that will be making their way onto the BlackBerry PlayBook. One of the apps that really stood out for me was Nic Nac Noe. Now, not because of any fancy graphics or an amazing AI but because of the simplicity of the app combined with a good UI. Nic Nac Noe is a new variation of X’s and O’s where the X’s have been replaced with black ninjas and the O’s are replaced with white ninjas.
I came across an email letting me know that Nic Nac Noe is now available in ShopTheBerryFix.com for all touch screen BlackBerrys giving you a little taste of the apps you could experience with the Blackberry PlayBook today.
Nic Nac Noe is available at ShoptheBerryFix.com for .99cents and will run on all touch based BlackBerry smartphones running OS 4.5 and higher. Hit up the link below to get in on the action.

4:31 pm on Jan 24, 2011 | Leave a comment
Probably one of the coolest features about Apps on the BlackBerry platform is that you don’t have just one place to download your applications, you have probably three or maybe even more. A few ways to get apps on your device would be with Desktop Manager, App World and OTA (over the air) and now you have one more and that is TheBerryFix.com on device SuperStore. Our SuperStore is an on-device application just like the BlackBerry app world store, but ours goes a little further offering daily deals on Apps, Themes, and accessories specifically made for your BlackBerry Smartphone.
In this BlackBerry School lesson I’m going to quickly run down how to get the SuperStore onto your BlackBerry and how to buy an app or accessory, hit up the break to get the full run down.

BlackBerry PlayBooks Apps Making Their Way Into App World?
6:16 pm on Jan 4, 2011 | Leave a comment

I’m really not to sure what to make of this other than developers are working on and getting those PlayBook Apps ready for prime time. What you’re seeing above is a new PlayBook app that has been accepted to App World (and who will receive a free PlayBook from RIM) and is ready for download.
With this happening it makes you wonder, is the PlayBook launch going to be closer than the rumoured date of March? Or is the addition of this app in App World just RIM prepping for the launch and ensuring all the apps are in their store? I guess we’ll have to wait for the PlayBook to hit the shelves and see. In the meantime, if your app has been accepted to the PlayBook App World let us know so we can compile a list of ready to go PlayBook apps.
