8:25 pm on Nov 1, 2011 | Leave a comment

Last September RIM came to the table with the all-new BlackBerry Torch 9800, a device that was greeted with less than stellar reviews from the tech community and consumers alike. Just under a year later RIM launched what they hoped to be a powerhouse upgrade, a new phone, a new beginning. The big question is, did the Torch 9810 live up to its hype, did RIM deliver with the new BlackBerry 7 OS and hardware accelerated graphics? Follow me after the break and find out.

Leaked AT&T roadmap shows BlackBerry Torch 9810 launching in Q2
11:27 am on May 30, 2011 | Leave a comment

Though this seems to be a bit of an older AT&T device roadmap because it still shows BlackBerry 6.1 and not 7 it still gives us a good idea of when RIM and AT&T are planning to launch the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810. According to the roadmap it seems AT&T is looking to launch the new Torch in quarter two (the quarter we are in now), which could mean anywhere from now till end of June and if our sources are correct it’ll be in the first two weeks of september(which is Q3) just like the last Torch. After seeing the video last week of the new device I can tell you I’m pretty excited to see it in the hands of BlackBerry users.

Still no confirmed word from Telus that they are indeed delaying the torch like we said yesterday, but none of this news about a delay has stopped them from putting up a pre order page. Now the pre order page seems to be for business accounts only, but if you want one really bad theres no shame in trying your luck. Check out the Telus Torch pre order page here.

New BlackBerry Torch Ad from AT&T Makes You Rethink Possible

I can honestly say that I’m liking the ads that have been on TV for BlackBerry, first we had those BBM TV spots and now RIM and AT&T have been going crazy with ads for the all new BlackBerry Torch. This one shows one person telling the story of Moby Dick using only the tools that come on the BlackBerry Torch, things like BlackBerry maps, BBM, BBM groups, and the new web kit browser. Take a look and let us know what you think.

BlackBerry Torch “Coming Soon to Telus” Page Goes Live
9:35 pm on Aug 28, 2010 | Leave a comment

Early this week Bell put up their own “Torch Coming Soon” page on their website and now Telus has followed suit. The splash page doesn’t say much, other than it will have BlackBerry 6 ( I could have told you that), it’ll run on their speedy 3G+ network and a few other tidbits. The latest date that we have been told is Sept 16 th, lets see if this holds true. What network are you waiting to get the Torch on? Bell? Telus? Rogers or Virgin?
