RIM has posted a new article to the Inside BlackBerry Developer’s Blog that provides us with some information on device screen resolutions. Going forward, there will be a standard screen resolution for all BlackBerry 10 devices. The resolution used will be 720 pixels. The only difference in overall resolutions will come between the full-touchscreen and the full-keyboard device models. Here are the resolusions for each:

  • Full touch devices: 1280 x 720 (16:9)
  • Keyboard devices: 720 x 720 (1:1)

Moving forward, developers will only need to format their applications for the 720 screen size. They will have to make one additional adjustment to fit their apps onto the full touch devices; however, this single adjustment will make it much easier to develop for all BlackBerry 10 devices.
