In addition to RIM CEO Heins’s appearance on CBC Radio this morning, he also wrote an editorial feature that ran in The Globe and Mail today. In this feature, Heins sets out to further fight rumors that the company is in a “Death spiral,” and instead, reassure the world that RIM is no its way back up. He starts with a simple, yet powerful quote: “Don’t count BlackBerry out.” This sets the tone for what he has to say and the message he hopes to deliver.
Heins goes on to touch on all the rumors and all the facts about the current state of affairs at RIM. He gives nothing but a positive outlook on the future, all the while acknowledging the tough time of transition that RIM is in now. From what Heins says in the article, which you should read at the link below, all the chaos is actually an organized strategy for RIM. The layoffs, stock plummets, and BlackBerry 10, they all are part of the transition and RIM plans to reemerge on the other side stronger than ever. We still have faith in RIM and we hope that you do too.
