We knew that the PlayBook price cuts were coming after RIM’s less than stellar earnings report for this past quarter, but when those cuts were coming has been previously unknown. We already saw Walmart Canada roll back their PlayBook prices and now it seems that some US retailers are beginning the price cuts. Staples is offering a discount of $200 off of each PlayBook model. $100 comes off the price when you purchase and you get a $100 rebate after you buy. If you’re more of an Office Depot fan, you can get the same price on PlayBooks from them. Hopefully these are just the first two of many retailers that will begin cutting the price of PlayBooks across the globe. We’ll let you know as soon as we find more retailers with PlayBook price cuts.
