Desktop Manager was always a great solution for backing up your BlackBerry to your computer; however, as the native BlackBerry OS grew old, so did Desktop Manager. Now, BlackBerry has replaced Desktop Manager with something more appropriate for BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry Link. This is the link between your BlackBerry device and all your content on your computer. This software only works for BlackBerry 10 devices, so you’ll need to keep Desktop Manager if you’re still using BlackBerry OS 7. Downloads are available for both PC and Mac users, just by clicking the link below.

Here’s a surprise update coming from RIM just hours before the official BlackBerry 10 unveiling tomorrow. They have updated BlackBerry Bridge for BlackBerry Smartphones to version 3.0. Typically we see a BlackBerry PlayBook OS update when we see an update to the Smartphone companion app, so this could mean that RIM has another Tablet OS 2 update coming tomorrow or they could have a nice BlackBerry 10 surprise for PlayBook owners coming soon. This update is available now in BlackBerry World, however, it could take up to 24 hours to fully for all users worldwide.

RIM is set to release all the official details on BlackBerry 10 in less than two days. In the meantime, there are plenty of informational leaks happening. This latest leak is huge news for BlackBerry fans in the UK. Some leaked internal documentation from Vodafone UK has hit the internet and it shows that they will be launching the BlackBerry Z10 immediately after RIM officially announces it, on January 30th. The devices will go on sale at 5 PM on Vodafone UK. We haven’t heard any other details for other carriers; however, if a UK carrier is launching on the 30th, you can probably expect to see some Canadian launches that day, as well.
