Verizon Wireless has released the BlackBerry Z10 today. This makes them the last and final US carrier to release BlackBerry 10. Verizon is selling both the black and white models of the Z10, making them the only US carrier offering both color choices. You can grab the Z10 from your local Verizon store, online at VerizonWireless.com, Best Buy retail locations, or BestBuy.com. It’ll run you $199.99 with a 2-year contract or $599 with no contract. If you’re a BlackBerry fan in America, now is the time to get your new Z10, with availability on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

BlackBerry fans in America have another reason to be excited today. The BlackBerry Z10 has now officially launched on T-Mobile. This means that BlackBerry fans can now get their fix on either AT&T or T-Mobile, with Verizon availability coming this Thursday, March 28th. The T-Mobile Z10 is available beginning today in stores or online at T-Mobile.com. The Z10 will run you $531.99 on a T-Mobile contract. Big news for BlackBerry fans who also love their television entertainment. BlackBerry has just announced a major deal with multiple content partners to bring new television content into BlackBerry World. The partnership is between BlackBerry and these content distributors: PBS, Univision and Viacom. The new content will include favorites like COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, PBS’s Masterpiece Classic Downton Abbey series and Spanish telenovelas. Now that the BlackBerry Z10 has officially launched around the world, it’s time for Q10 launch date rumors and pre-order information to start surfacing. We’ve seen pre-orders go live at UK retailers Clove and Unlocked-Mobiles, with the launch date listed as April 26th, and now UK cellphone dealer, Carphone Warehouse, has added to the list. They are listing the Q10 on their website as “coming soon” and they even have a whole page devoted to the specs and features of this upcoming device. If you’re looking to pre-order, they also have a space where you can sign up to be notified when pre-orders and availability are officially announced. Check it all out at the link below.

As you should know by now, the BlackBerry Z10 is now available in America. AT&T is the first US carrier to launch. The Z10 is available at AT&T stores, AT&T.com, Best Buy online and retail locations, and Amazon.com. The AT&T Z10 is available for $199 with a 2-year contract or $699 contract-free. AT&T only offers the black version of the Z10.
Verizon and T-Mobile will also be launching the Z10 this coming week. Verizon launches both the black and white model for $199 on March 28th. T-Mobile’s launch is slated for March 26th, presumably for the same price as on the other carriers. Be sure to let us know in the comments which carrier you’re on and when you plan to grab your Z10!

BlackBerry fans in the USA, now is your time to rise up. Our platform is in desperate need of a US revitalization. People in this country are wrapped up in their iPhones and Androids, all the while remembering the pain of BlackBerry OS 5, 6, & 7. Now, a revolution has arrived on US shores in the form of the BlackBerry Z10. It launched this morning at 12:01 AM EST, with AT&T being the first carrier on board. Verizon and T-Mobile will be debuting the Z10 in the coming week.
This is the time for us to stand up and let people know that BlackBerry is alive and well with BlackBerry 10, and that the spinning wheel and laggy experience died with BlackBerry OS 7! We’ve got to get out and show off the entirely new experience of BlackBerry 10 on the Z10. As BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins put it, “Go out and sell like Hell!” If we want BlackBerry to survive, it starts here and now for us. Go grab your new Z10 this week and sell the platform back to those that gave it up!

Amazon has finally released the long awaited Kindle Reader app for BlackBerry 10. This is a huge addition to the app catalog for BlackBerry, bringing one of the world’s most widely used e-reading solutions to their customers. It’s also another compelling reason for iOS and Android users to give BB10 a try. The Kindle app is one of over 100,000 BlackBerry 10 apps that are now available in BlackBerry World. The Kindle app for BB10 brings all the Kindle reading features that users love in the iOS and Android apps, including:
- Personalization – Adjust the text size, change the screen’s brightness, choose your background color, and read in either portrait or landscape mode.
- Look Up Words – Tap and hold any word in a book to view the word’s definition with the built-in dictionary or use the Google or Wikipedia links to get more information.
- Sample Books Before Buying – Easily shop for ebooks and read the first chapter for free before you decide to buy.
- Bi-Lingual – Kindle is available in English and French.

There have been many fans of BlackBerry Travel who have been asking when it would launch for BlackBerry 10. We never got a solid answer from them, until today. BlackBerry Travel has officially launched for BlackBerry 10. The BB10 version of the app has all the features users have come to know and love in the original version, plus some new additions. The new features for BlackBerry 10 include:
- Trip Status Sharing – Post your trip updates on BBM, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. With Trip Status Sharing, you can keep your friends and colleagues up-to-date on your travel adventures immediately as they unfold.
- Flight Status Sharing – Share this information with your colleagues, friends and social networks. If your flight is delayed, cancelled or changed terminals, you can easily and quickly inform others and make sure they know when and where to pick you up from the airport.
- Price Alerts, Change Offers and Upgrades – This service with BlackBerry Travel helps ensure you are always getting the best hotel deal. It automatically notifies you if there’s a better price for the hotel room you booked, a comparable hotel for a cheaper price, or if there’s a much better hotel for slightly more. In many cases, you can cancel your original booking without penalty and re-book the better deal through BlackBerry Travel.
- BlackBerry ID – With BlackBerry ID, you’ll never have to login to BlackBerry Travel again. You’ll have instant access to all of its features as soon as you launch the app. Even on your first time using BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry ID will automatically fill in the registration form for you.

We know all about the BlackBerry Z10, with its imminent release tomorrow in the US, but what about its QWERTY-equipped brother, the Q10? We had heard from BlackBerry that the release of the Q10 would come in the months following the Z10 release, but were never told what month. That is, until now. UK retailers Clove and Unlocked-Mobiles are both offering the Q10 for pre-order, with shipping and release currently pegged for April 26th.
These two carriers offer SIM-free, basically contract-free phones, for sale in the UK. The pre-order price is around $800 for the Q10, which is about what you can expect for a SIM-free device. There’s no official guarantee that this device will launch on April 26th, but it would make sense. First, the Z10 initially launched in the UK, so the Q10 may well follow those footsteps. Next, BlackBerry desperately needs to get this handset out and make some sales. The Z10 is selling well, but the Q10 could boost sales even more.

Today is a big day for BlackBerry World and BlackBerry 10 apps. Earlier, we had the announcement that BlackBerry World now houses over 100,000 app for BlackBerry 10. Now, we have the arrival of OpenTable in BlackBerry World. This is a reservations application with access to tables at over 27,000 restaurants. You can not only make reservations, but you can see ratings, reviews, and menus right from your BlackBerry 10 device. here is the feature list for OpenTable:
- FIND restaurants nearest to your current location & see real-time table availability.
- SEARCH by restaurant name
- REFINE results by cuisine, price, reservation time.
- RESERVE your table free
- EARN Bonus 1,000 points on eligible dining times
The app is free and making reservations is completely free, as well. You can grab it at the link below in BlackBerry World. It may take up to 24 hours for the app to show up, so clicking the link may not show the BlackBerry 10 version for you yet.

BlackBerry knew they had a problem even bigger than hardware or Operating System software prior to the launch of BlackBerry 10. That problem was apps, and the fact that no one wanted to develop for the platform. With BlackBerry 10, that has all changed. BlackBerry World now boasts over 100,000 apps that work on the BlackBerry 10 platform. That’s more than any other platform had at this point in their existence and it shows the true commitment that BlackBerry has made to bring their customers the apps they want to use.
