Interesting little bit of information has made its way from BlackberryOS.com and its about Verizon BlackBerry users getting free push-to-talk service. What the documents shows is that if you subscribe to the PTT (push-to-talk) from Verizon between March 30th and June 30th and are on a $34.99 rate plan and up you will get the PTT free for the rest of your contract. If you’re a theme addict your going to like this one. The newest theme to be put onto my blackberry is Elecite’s new theme called Trace. This theme is pretty cool; it has large card style icons that actually show you messages and notes on your home screen. The theme is fully skinned and offers a weather icon slot for BlackBerry Storm users, though I’m not to sure why they couldn’t give other devices the weather slot, but its still a nice looking functional theme. To grab your copy of Trace grab the link below.

I chose the Beach theme for today to celebrate the warmer temperatures that are making their way back! I’m getting ready to hit the beach soon and I think having a beach theme makes the time between now and then pass a little faster. This theme is available for the Bold 9000 and features a today style. The icons are fully customizable. The Beach Bum theme is available for $0.99 from now until April 1st then it will be $1.99. Check this theme out to get a little taste of the beach until it warms up enough for a trip!

I personally use Sirius satellite radio in my car and on my BlackBerry, but for your car the other option is XM but it wasn’t available on the go also that’s why I sided with Sirius. But today things are getting better for XM Canada users because they now have an on device app for their BlackBerry that will launch on april 12th.
So on April 12th head over to XM radio web site or BlackBerry App world, and get the music you love on the go.

For my first app of the day post, I am highlighting one of my favorite apps for the Storm. PatternLock is an app that is used in place of the standard screen lock for the Blackberry Storm and Storm2. You can set up a custom unlock pattern for your Storm. This app just had a refresh to version 2.0 and it is now better than ever. PatternLock offers full user customization and has tons of options. Check out PatternLock in the MobiHand store.
