Today’s app is BerryWeather 2.0.  BerryWeather is a weather app that can be made as simple or complex as you want.  The app is fully customizable and looks just beautiful.  BW displays the weather with large and bright pictures and text.  The app has an integrated weather radar feature and it also features weather alerts that can be pushed to the message inbox.  BerryWeather is one of my most used and favorite apps and I know you will love it once you give it a try.  The app is available for $9.95 in the MobiHand store and there is also a free trial available.  BerryWeather is compatible with almost every Blackberry device and has both 4.7 and 5.0 support.

InPulse Smartwatch Just Around The Corner?

posted by Zach Gilbert at on Apr 6, 2010 | Leave a comment

Screen shot 2010 04 06 at 11.20.32 AM InPulse Smartwatch Just Around The Corner?
The first round of pre-orders for the InPulse Smartwatch sold out long before the device was scheduled to be released to the public,  and since then we haven’t heard that much about it since then. But dont fear they are still alive and kicking and to show that they have released two photos of the watch also with the following statement;
“Long time no blog. We have some amazing news that we’re going to be sharing very shortly. Images, video and something that all you pre-order customers will be extremely happy about. inPulse is almost here.”
So how many of our readers have pre-ordered a watch? When they say that “all the pre-order customers will be happy” does that mean they are ready launch? I guess well see in a few days.

Sprint3 BlackBerry 9650 Shows Up In Sprints Phone Ordering Database

Some sunday evening news from BGR about the BlackBerry 9650, what were looking at here is the Sprint phone ordering system that clearly shows the BlackBerry 9650 with and without a camera.  As each day goes by more and more news on the BlackBerry 9650 starts to show up, a few weeks ago there was news from the Verizon side pointing to a may launch and now we have the Sprint information pointing to a sooner than later launch. So who still wants the 9650? or has it been turned to yesterdays news?

Blackberry Pearl 9100 Coming To Telus Within The Next Month??

StratusBBOS Blackberry Pearl 9100 Coming To Telus Within The Next Month??

Our Friends over at BBOS have gotten a screen capture and some information on the Telus Pearl 9100, codenamed Stratus.  Their source states that the 9100 is in internal testing at Telus and that typically a device is released about a month after this testing.  So by that, we should be looking to see the 9100 drop onto Telus in about a month’s time.  We should also see a US release of the 9100 around the same time.  The next question is will this be the 9100 with suretype or the rumored 9105 with T9?  My bet is on the suretype version… We’ll get you more information on this device launch, as well as on the launch of the Bold 9750, as soon as we get it.

On your Blackberry? To view the video from your mobile device click here

Jawbone was nice enough to send us over a few of their new ICON Bluetooth head sets to review and all that can be said is wow. The new ICON brings the strength of military grade noise cancellation, lightweight design, and a high level of functionality to your ear to make using your cell phone safer and more enjoyable. One of the cool things about this headset is that you can actually install apps onto it just like your blackberry, the applications allow you to; use your voice to send a text, tweet or face book message, allow you to get free 411, and they even allow you to install different voices to make the headset truly yours.

So you’ve heard what we have to say about the new ICON we want to hear what you have to say, but the only way we can do that is by giving away a brand new JAWBONE ICON Bluetooth headset courtesy of JAWBONE. To enter the contest all you have to do is post a comment on how the ICON would make your life a little easier and your entered.

**The win a JAWBONE ICON contest will end on Saturday April 10th at 11:59 pm est time.

3D Display Coming To A BlackBerry Near You? Well Maybe not

3D Display Coming To A BlackBerry Near You? Well Maybe not

Imagine having your BlackBerry Bold 9700 with a glasses free 3D screen, well it may not be far from the truth. Sharp Corp. has announced plans to start developing 3D displays for mobile devices this year. The glasses free 3D technology that Sharp has created was introduced is 2000 but was  was never adopted because of a low intrest in 3D images in the theater, personal computer and mobile devices. With sharp mass producing these displays we may see 3D on mobile devices in the near future.

“Sharp Corp said it plans to start making this year advanced 3D displays for cellphones and other mobile devices that don’t require special viewing glasses, betting that demand for 3D images will grow beyond movie theatres and living rooms to portable machines.”

So who thinks this will take off? Im not to sure my self, but well see.
