Netflix has confirmed once again, as they have many times in the past, that they have no plans to bring their service to the BlackBerry platform. They are not supporting BlackBerry OS 7, would not support the PlayBook, and they have now reiterated their stance by confirming they have “no current plans for a BlackBerry 10 app.”
BlackBerry has been in talks with all of the big name app developers and companies to bring their applications and services to BlackBerry 10. They have done a good job of bringing some big names; however, there are still a few major companies that are giving BlackBerry 10 a show of no faith. Netflix and Instagram are two of these major apps that are not available for BlackBerry 10. These, along with a few other major names, are huge holes missing in the BlackBerry 10 app lineup. BlackBerry has been sure to mention multiple times that they are continuing to work with top-tier app developers and companies and that they do not plan to stop negotiations until they have every app on BlackBerry 10 that users are asking for.
