RIM has been doing a nice job of partnering with developers to give away free apps to their loyal users. The latest offering from RIM, CreaVures and SHADOWGUN, brings two top-notch PlayBook games at a $10 value. The offer is good from now until October 31st and both games come from developer Union, utilizing their awesome Unity 3D game rendering engine. CreaVures is an immersive experience where you play as one of five CreaVures. The goal is to restore order to the forest, which is the home of the CreaVures and is now in chaos. There are great graphics, intuitive controls, and a good storyline, all brought together in this game.
SHADOWGUN is a classic first-person shooter with a twist. The majority of the game is played as a FPS but there are also some great scenes featuring 3rd person action and storylines. The goal in this game is to defeat the evil Dr. Simon and prevent him from world domination. SHADOWGUN features console-quality graphics, advanced and intuitive controls, and hours of robot shooting madness.
