Usually when we see a concept design for a future smartphone it’s some outlandish concept that couldn’t possibly be produced with today’s technology. The latest design from DigitalHomeBoy; however, is a refreshing concept that is actually already on its way to becoming reality. The BlackBerry TK 3.0 Discovery is a concept design that will become a reality in about six months. DigitalHomeBoy has taken the Dev Alpha design, the BlackBerry 10 interface, and the best available technology and combined the three into what may very well be the smartphone we see RIM announce for 2013.
The device features all the announced BlackBerry 10 specs, including the 4.3″ display, front-facing camera, and even the new BlackBerry 10 status bar. While this is only a concept, the actual device that RIM debuts BlackBerry 10 on will look very similar to this one. It may not feature the “Graphene” material that DHB uses here, but it will definitely be a solid-built device that people will enjoy using.
I encourage you to take a look at the link below to check out the full concept. DHB has gone way in-depth on this one, featuring a full spec list and over 25 photos of the concept. This is very close to what we will see form RIM in 2013 and it’ll definitely get you excited checking it out.
