RIM has recently released another device running BlackBerry OS 7.1 to hold us over until the launch of BlackBerry 10. That device is the BlackBerry Curve 9310, and it has just recently launched on the Boost Mobile network. The Curve 9310 is another solid device from Research in Motion. The software, OS 7.1, runs smoothly and efficiently. The hardware is superb, especially for a device that will run you less than $100. The 9310 has all the features you would expect from a BlackBerry; BBM, a solid QWERTY-keyboard, a vibrant screen, all packed into this little device. Follow me past the break for a closer look at the Curve 9310 and see why it’s one of the best BlackBerry devices available today.

I just the all-new, BlackBerry Curve 9310 courtesy of Boost Mobile in the mail and, of course, the first thing I did was unbox it for TheBerryFix nation. In the video, we take a look at the packaging, accessories, and overall design of the new Curve 9310. The biggest new feature on the 9310 is the dedicated BBM key, just press the button and you’re brought right to BBM. My initial impressions of the device are good. It features the solid construction that BlackBerry users have come to know and it also features the QWERTY keyboard that made BlackBerry famous.
The Curve 9310 is a great device for both children and first-time smartphone owners. Boost Mobile offers the 9310 for just $99 and it works with a wide variety of their pre-paid BlackBerry and Data plans. We’ll have a full review of the Curve 9310 sometime in the next two weeks, so check back often.
Earlier this month, RIM released the BlackBerry Music Gateway. This device was based on the previous BlackBerry Stereo Music Gateway but it was a total, ground-up, redesign. The original Gateway was clunky and pairing required a few steps. Both of these issues had been remedied with the all-new BlackBerry Music Gateway. We unboxed this device a few weeks back, and I had nothing but good things to say about it in my initial impressions video. I have now spent some in-depth time with the Gateway and my full review of this great, new device can be seen past the break.
Today we are unboxing and taking a first look at Jawbone’s latest entry into the Bluetooth headset market, the Jawbone ERA. The ERA is one of the most advanced Bluetooth’s on the market, featuring technology like Noise Assassin 3.0 and Motion-X technology. It’s light and has great looks. The product is packaged in one of the most innovative boxes I have ever opened. The ERA is located at the top and then in the bottom you have all the accessories neatly laid out in a flip-top box.
Check out the video above to get the full experience of unboxing the JawBone ERA and check back sometime in the next two weeks for a full review of this revolutionary headset. If you’re already convinced that the ERA is the headset for you, hit the link below to grab one for just $129.99.

I just got my hands on the completely redesigned BlackBerry Music Gateway that RIM released last week and I am pretty excited about this accessory. I’ve only just unboxed it and had a few minutes to play with the gateway, but I’m very impressed. RIM includes everything you’ll need right in the box and setting it up is a snap. You just plug in the power cord and then plug the gateway into your TV, sound system, speakers, etc. and you’re ready to go. The NFC tap-to-connect is a flawless new feature and NFC-enabled BlackBerry owners are going to love this. Take a look at the video above to see the BlackBerry Music Gateway and watch TheBerryFix early next week for my full review of this device.

Today we’re taking a look at two of the coolest features of the BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry Bridge. Those two features are HDMI Mirroring on the PlayBook and BlackBerry Remote through BlackBerry Bridge. In the video above, I first give a quick overview of HDMI Mirroring on the PlayBook. All you need is a Micro-HDMI cable and an HDTV to take advantage of this functionality.
Then, using HDMI Mirroring, I show you some of the features of BlackBerry Remote through BlackBerry Bridge. BlackBerry Remote allows you to fully control your PlayBook using your BlackBerry device. You can use the keyboard on your BlackBerry to input text and you can use the touchscreen on your BlackBerry just like you use the one on your PlayBook. Bezel swipes on the device are mirrored on the PlayBook. You click with an on-screen mouse pointer and you scroll using two fingers on your BlackBerry screen at once.
So, take a look at the video above to see both HDMI Output and BlackBerry Remote in action. Then, bridge your PlayBook and Smartphone and take advantage of these awesome features yourself. If you need to know how to bridge your devices, Click Here to view our BlackBerry School Lesson on the subject. Also, you can get the Blaq Twitter application or Xploding Boxes, which are seen in the video, by clicking the links below.

Today we’re going to be taking at look at one of the newest games for the BlackBerry PlayBook, Dummy Jake. This game debuted earlier this week as Rock n’ Roll Game Studio’s first PlayBook game and I’ve been playing it non-stop since then. The game follows a simple concept, you control Jake, the robotic dummy, as he falls through the sky. The game uses a combination of accelerometer-based, tilt control and on-screen button presses. Fall past the break with me and Jake as I review this title.

There used to only be one way to keep contacts on a phone in check and that was with the standard contact list application found on your phone. But the year is 2012 and there are more than a handful of ways to keep those who you communicate with in order, but which is the best?
I’ve decided to pit Xobni and Gist (a newly RIM acquired company) against each other in an attempt to pick a solid winner. Who did I pick? Well, I can’t answer that just yet. But by the end of this article I hope to have established a clear winner. Continue on for the full ins and outs of Gist, and Xobni.
As soon as the FedEx truck got to me and dropped of a new toy, I had to dive right in and film a little unboxing video. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 lies somewhere between the Bold 9780 and Bold 9900, but if a device can cause mayhem in Indonesia, it must be good enough to cross my desk. Check out the video above as I unbox the latest from BlackBerry, the new Bold 9790.
