Yesterday afternoon RIM flipped the switch on the new web based App World 3.0 brining features that Mac users have been waiting for since day one, things like actually being able to view the site.
So I sat down and decided I’d take a look and see what all the buzz was about, and I’ll say I’m actually quite impressed. Not only does it work well from Mac and Windows PC’s it lets you side-load applications onto your BlackBerry (no PlayBook support just yet) and even update/delete existing ones. So to help the BlackBerry community get an idea on how to use the new site I’ve gone ahead and filmed a video on how to use the all new App World from your desktop computer. Stay tuned for the new version to hit your BlackBerry smartphone soon.

BlackBerry School Lesson 23: How to remove an IT policy from a BlackBerry
1:07 pm on Apr 25, 2011 | Leave a comment

Theres a chance that you bought your BlackBerry of Ebay, Craigslist or kijiji and the devices wouldn’t let you install and app or it demanded you have a device password. Chances are that your BlackBerry was once on a corporate BES network and had an IT Policy installed on it for security reasons.
Removing an IT policy can be a pain and it’s not as simple as a device wipe, you need to get to the root of your BlackBerry and factory reset it. By following these instructions you’ll be able to get full access to your device again, but remember to back up your contacts, BBM, and calendar as this will completely wipe your BlackBerry. BlackBerry School Lesson 19: Downloading And Using TheBerryFix.com SuperStore
4:31 pm on Jan 24, 2011 | Leave a comment
Probably one of the coolest features about Apps on the BlackBerry platform is that you don’t have just one place to download your applications, you have probably three or maybe even more. A few ways to get apps on your device would be with Desktop Manager, App World and OTA (over the air) and now you have one more and that is TheBerryFix.com on device SuperStore. Our SuperStore is an on-device application just like the BlackBerry app world store, but ours goes a little further offering daily deals on Apps, Themes, and accessories specifically made for your BlackBerry Smartphone.
In this BlackBerry School lesson I’m going to quickly run down how to get the SuperStore onto your BlackBerry and how to buy an app or accessory, hit up the break to get the full run down.
