Earlier this week we reviewed the Dicota Flexi Case for the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930. It’s a great case with good looks and comes from Dicota, a Built for BlackBerry partner. When Dicota sent over the case to review, they were kind enough to send not only a purple version, but also the clear/black version. Now, we’re hosting a contest to give away both of these cases to our readers here at TheBerryFix.com.
Entering the contest is simple, just leave a comment on this post saying which color case you want and why. At the close of the contest, the entries will be sorted by color and then a winner for each case will be chosen at random. The contest runs from now until April 13th at 11:59 PM EST. Be sure you have an email address associated with your account when leaving your comment so you can be reached if you win, otherwise we may be forced to disqualify you from the contest. Good Luck!

Are you interested in going to BlackBerry World but find the price a little more than you can afford? Well, what if I told you we could help you get there for half the cost? In addition to our contest to win a paid trip to BlackBerry World, we’ve teamed up with RIM to give out 25 half-price codes for BlackBerry World 2012 conference passes. The code, when entered on the BB World registration site, will take 50% off the admission price to the conference.
These half-price codes are only good on new registrations. If you’ve already purchased your pass for this year’s conference, you can’t use a code to get a refund (RIM’s rules, sorry guys). We’ll be distributing codes to the first 25 readers who send an email to contest (@) TheBerryFix.com.

BlackBerry World is the premiere conference for both BlackBerry Developers and BlackBerry Fans. There are awesome presentations, lots of cool BlackBerry demos, and great interaction with the team from RIM. Almost any BlackBerry Developer or User would love to attend BlackBerry World, but many can’t because the cost can run so high. That’s right, we’re giving away a trip to BlackBerry World 2012! The prize package includes one full conference pass to the event, which is May 1-3 in Orlando, Florida. This package is valued at approximately $2,385 USD. The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada and the running dates for the contest will be from now until Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST.
So, how do you enter? Just leave a comment on this post telling us why want to attend BlackBerry World 2012. The winner will be randomly selected from all the eligible entries and notified via Email by April 20, 2012. Make sure that you enter an Email address when you make your comment; otherwise, you may be disqualified from the contest if we can not contact you. So, if you want to go to BlackBerry World 2012, let us know why and you may find yourself there in May!

While some maybe rushing around NYC finding the perfect gift for that special someone this holiday season, RIM will be placing secret BlackBerry notification icons around the city for a holiday contest. The contest is pretty simple. All you have to do is spot a red BBM notification around the city, scan the barcode on the back and add the secret holiday BlackBerry team onto your BBM list. RIM is giving away a few BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 (So are we! check out our contest), BlackBerry accessories and some coffee cards to warm you up this holiday season.
I’m tempted to take a trip out to NYC to hunt down some of these notification icons….who’s with me? If you’ve managed to find one make sure you snap a pic and tweet us at @theberryfix

It’s been a while since we’ve showcased themes on the site. Maybe it’s because of all the craziness that’s been happening in the realm of BlackBerry and RIM, but don’t worry we are back. Today I wanted to showcase a theme using icons from the BlackBerry PlayBook. Now putting the icons in isn’t everything this developer did, they’ve also re-skinned the whole device and giving it a slight hint of PlayBook. The team over at UMG have set the theme at $3.99 and is available in BlackBerry App World and TheBerryFix.com Super store.
If you’re like me and would rather not pay anything, then we have a treat in store. UMG Apps have given us 20 copies of their new theme to giveaway and all you have to do is leave a comment below. This contest will run until Monday night at 11:59pm PST time. Good luck!
