This is an interesting and new concept for RIM. They have opened a BlackBerry 6 Beta test of OS 6.0.0.448 for the Bold 9700, Bold 9780, and Curve 9300 for T-Mobile customers. This OS beta is in the BlackBerry Beta Zone and you must be a US resident running one of these 3 BlackBerry devices on the T-Mobile network. If you want to try out an “Official Beta” and you’re on T-Mo then this is the OS for you. Get it at the Beta Zone. You can login or signup at the link below.

There are quite a few ringtones from OS 5 that were not included in OS 6. RIM did create some new tones for OS 6 but many of us had our favorite tones and some of theme were taken away when we got BlackBerry 6. The team over at Crackberry has been looking into this and found a solution. RIM actually offers a download of all the BlackBerry OS 5 ringtones in a nice little installer package. Then only thing you have to do is go to the link below on your OS 6 BlackBerry to install the OS 5 ringtones on your BlackBerry. Please note that if you upgrade your OS you will have to install this ringtone pack again. Has anyone missed their OS 5 tones on their new BB6 BlackBerry?

The BlackBerry Sedona, which is rumored to be the Next-generation BlackBerry Curve with a CDMA antenna, has shown up in another photoshoot from N4BB. This BlackBerry is showing up as being Verizon branded but I would guess that a version for Sprint is in the works as well. The new BlackBerry Sedona will outspec every current BlackBerry model with the addition of the 800MHz processor. The Sedona has a backlit keypad and the trackpad is also backlit like on the new BlackBerry Style. The Sedona is a great looking BlackBerry with some great rumored specifications. BlackBerry users have quite a lot to look forward to in 2011 with the addition of this and all the new BlackBerry smartphones to the lineup. The Sedona is rumored to launch with BlackBerry OS 6.1 lite, a less intensive version of the new BlackBerry 6 Evolution 6.1 that is set to launch later this year. We just saw OS 6.0.0.448 for the Torch 9800 leak this morning and now we have seen OS 6.0.0.450 for the Torch. We don’t know what changes there are between the two but since they are so close together in build number I would say that .450 was created to fix some issues that may be present in .448. If you are going to update your Torch 9800 to the latest leak I would recommend trying out this one of build .450.

It has been a while since we have seen any leak action for Torch owners. The majority of what we have seen lately has been for older devices but that changes today. Verizon has just let us know that BlackBerry 6 for both the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Curve 3G are officially available as of today, January 25. The update is available as both an OTA and a desktop download. To perform the update OTA, go to Options > Advanced Options > Wireless Update and then follow the instructions there to upgrade to BlackBerry 6. If you prefer the desktop download you can connect your BlackBerry to your computer and open Desktop Manager to install the new update. Verizon let us know that the update should be available for all Verizon 9650 and Curve 3G users by 8PM EST today. The update appears to be OS 6.0.0.431 for both the Curve 3G and Bold 9650. If you update your Verizon BlackBerry to BB6 be sure to let us know what you think of it.

The BlackBerry Storm 9530 has seen a few leaks and officials lately, but the 9500 has been left out up to this point. Today, Telenor in Sweden has officially released OS 5.0.0.1005 for the Storm 9500. If you are still rocking a 9500 then you may want to check this out and let us know what has changed.

BAM! And just like that we have yet another BlackBerry OS leak, this time it’s for the Bold 9780. What were looking at is OS 6.0.0.448 for the BlackBerry Bold 9780, not a huge jump from the previous OS for the 9780 but hey we’ll take it. I could see why Bold 9700 users are feeling left out seeing they haven’t had a decent OS leak in quite some time, but the drought is finaly over. Driphter has dropped OS 6.0.0.448 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and as normal there isn’t a lick of a change log to let us know whats new and whats fixed. My guess is on this one you’re going to see a few bug fixes and application updates, but don’t let me tell you everything find out for your self by updating you Bold to the latest OS6 leak.

Its nice to see once again RIM continuing to refine the OS on some of the older BlackBerry models. This update is for the Bold 9000 and is OS 5.0.0.1049. There is no word on what has changed in this OS release but it should be a nice update for the good ole Bold 9000. If you try this one out be sure to let us know what you find down in the comments.

The OS that everyone has been waiting for since WES 2010 is finally here! BlackBerry 6 has landed on Vodafone Essar Limited and is sporting version 6.0.0.380, slightly lower than the leak we saw last week but hey, this one has the seal of approval. Now remember if Vodafone Essar Limited is not your carrier thats okay, but you will need to follow our BlackBerry School instructions on how to install another carriers OS onto your BlackBerry. The above image shows that both the Bold 9650 and the Curve 3G 9330 are slated to receive an official OS update from Verizon on January 19. This could very well be the BlackBerry 6 release that we have all been waiting for on Verizon. Keep in mind though, that its always possible these dates could be pushed back and that these updates may not even be a BlackBerry 6 build. We can only hope and wait that this release will come on the 19th and will be a BlackBerry 6 build. We also see that the Curve 8330 is slated for an OS update in January with the date TBD, so this could be a nice OS 5 update for those users.

The latest leak is for the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 bringing it to up to 6.0.0.424 just like the Bold 9700 and Curve 9300 leaks from earlier today. First the 9700 BlackBerry 6 leak and now we have a leak for all those Curve 9300 users. Driphter has offered up OS 6.0.0.424 which when looking at the last 9300 leak it is a considerable upgrade from 6.0.0.380. This leak should also bring the updated BBM and because this is a leak there is no change log telling us whats new and what is not. So grab those computers an load up the latest os on you Curve.
