If you’ve been waiting for the day that you can see BlackBerry 6 running on a current in market device, then this is the day. During BlackBerry Devcon 2010 I’ve had the chance to go hands on with a few devices all running BlackBerry 6, and they aren’t bad. Now mind you that there are a few issues with the Pearl 3G but im sure that will get cleared up before the OS comes to a device near you. We have another OS 5 leak for the Bold 9650. This OS is 5.0.0.975 which is the same build as the Tour 9630 OS we saw leaked with this one. If you are sticking with 5.0 on your Bold then go ahead and check out this leak and let us know what you find.

It has been quite a while since we saw an OS leak for the Tour 9630. I would imagine this is going to be the last OS leak we will see for the Tour given the fact that it is not receiving BlackBerry 6 and there are newer phones now in its place. This OS is 5.0.0.975 and we don’t have any info on the changes but they are most likely good. Check it out and let us know what you find.

We just had OS 6.0.0.225 leak last week for the Torch 9800 and this week we have a jump to 6.0.0.246.  Initial reports say that this OS is stable and running vey smoothly. No word yet on the changes. Give it a go and let us know if you find anything.

We have our first solid OS 6 leak for the Bold 9650. OS 6.0.0.222 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 has been leaked tonight. This is exciting news for both 9650 owners and the BlackBerry community in general. We have another OS leak for the 9700 today but sadly its still a 5.0 version. BBLeaks has put this one out there this morning. This version is OS 5.0.0.938 and we don’t have any information on what has changed in this version. Hopefully this will be the last OS 5.0 leak for the 9700 and we will begin seeing BlackBerry 6 builds leaking. We know that there are builds of BlackBerry 6 out in carriers hands so its only a matter of time till we see our first for the 9700 or even the 9650.

Wow a little late to the game Rogers, but better late than never. Today Rogers released BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.822 for the BlackBerry Curve 8520, now the OS update is only currently available through desktop manager but should be available for direct download soon. To update your Rogers BlackBerry make sure you have the latest BlackBerry desktop manager installed on your computer and plug in your 8520 to receive the update.

We just had a leak for the Torch 9800 last week and we have another this week! The leak last week fixed some battery life issues and some general bugs. The OS update that has leaked today hasn’t been tested yet by us so we don’t have a list of fixes and changes yet. It looks like Verizon has released a new OS for the Curve 8530. The new release is OS 5.0.0.886 and is available for download now. We don’t know what may have changed in this release but since it’s a Verizon official we can expect it to be a good improvement. Let us know what you think of this new OS in the comments.

The Curve 8530 is getting an official OS bump. US Cellular has released the official OS 5.0.0.886 for the Curve 8530. We don’t know what has changed or what bugs have been fixed in this release but since it is an official the OS should be stable and very usable. We saw this version leaked about 2 weeks back but have yet to receive any feedback on the changes. Check this release out on your Curve 8530 and let us know what changes you find.

T-Mobile has released an official OS update for both the Curve 8520 and Curve 8900. The update for both BlackBerrys is the same version number, 5.0.0.822. We don’t have any information on what changes and fixes may be in this release, but with it being an official we can assume it is stable and that there will be some bug fixes. Not sure why it took AT&T forever to get BlackBerry 5 to their Bold 9000 customers but alas it is here. AT&T users can download OS 5.0.0.882 for the devices starting today. The BlackBerry 5 operating system will give you a refreshed look to the traditional BlackBerry UI, also some users are claiming they have received a slight memory increase but let us know if you’ve noticed anything different. Also if AT&T is not your carrier but you still want some BlackBerry 5 love on your 9000 just make sure you remove the Vendor.XML file and all should be well.
