While today everyone maybe talking about Cut the Rope on the PlayBook I took the time to go and do a video review of one of my new favourite apps (beside Cut the Rope, it’s just awesome). BackBreaker Vengeance 2 is a game with a simple concept, dodge the other football players, pretty simple, eh. But wait, not only does the playing field change with barriers and other obstacles, you also need to make sure you stay within an ever changing infield zone.
If you’re looking for a change from flinging those birds at pigs then you’ll definitely want to take a look at BackBreaker Vengeance 2 for the BlackBerry PlayBook, it’s available in App World for $2.99.

Machinarium now available on the BlackBerry PlayBook
9:15 pm on Nov 21, 2011 | Leave a comment

I must say that with the portability of the PlayBook, I’ve found myself buying a ton more games that I bought when I had my iPad, mainly due to the ability to carry this powerhouse around everywhere I go. During BlackBerry Devcon we were shown a gamethat has been talked about all over the web, USA TODAY gives it a 4/4 and IGF gave it the “Excellence in Visual Art Award” and TheBerryFix.com gives it the “Best Frikin Game on The PlayBook” Award.
Machinarium is a game that brings you into the world of a little robot that is on the hunt to save his robot girl friend, and while I can talk about it all day, you need to try it for yourself. Check out the trailer after the break, and if you can’t wait to grab your PlayBook and hit download, you can give the demo a spin at the link below.

Doodle Blast for the BlackBerry PlayBook surpasses 50,000 downloads
11:43 am on Jul 21, 2011 | Leave a comment

As a whole the BlackBerry community tends to focus a lot on BlackBerry apps and devices, but what about the developers behind all those PlayBook and smartphone apps? What type of accomplishments have they reached while developing on the BlackBerry Platform? Today I want to point out one developer in particular and that would be FlexableAIR and their Application Doodle Blast.
Doodle Blast has been available in BlackBerry App World since the launch of the PlayBook giving users about 3 months to download this FREE physics game built on the Adobe Air PlayBook SDK. Since its availability Doodle Blast has surpassed 50,000 downloads on the PlayBook, making it an all time favourite amongst PlayBook owners.
With RIMs developer data base exceeding 400,000 registered developers there’s no reason why we can’t have Apps like doodle Blast exceeding 100,000 downloads given the popularity of the development tools available to PlayBook devs.
