After much waiting, RIM has finally released an update to Blackberry Desktop Manager for the Mac.  There are no visible changes to DM in this update.  The update is mainly to fix some issues that some users were having with itunes music and data syncing.  Hopefully RIM will continue to invest resources in Mac development, so that Mac users will be able to do more with their Blackberry Smartphones on their Apple computers.

I often find that one of my biggest issues is making sure I reply to that emil or return that phone call. Up until about a week ago I’ve been using the normal Flag option in the BlackBerry email application, which is excellent but its only for Emails no phone calls or text messages. Then I stumbled across LaterDude Pro for BlackBerry, its pretty much an all-in one reminder app that you use for sms, email, phone calles and if your like me your find this quite handy. LaterDude runs for $2.95 and works on OS 4.2 and up, the app is available in TheBerryFix.com app store.

Zach’s App Of The Day: MeterBerry For The BlackBerry Bold 9700

posted by Zach Gilbert at on Apr 7, 2010 | Leave a comment

meterberry Zachs App Of The Day: MeterBerry For The BlackBerry Bold 9700

One of the biggest complaints about themes and applications on BlackBerry are the memory leaks, sometimes there are none and while other times it is insane on how bad the app or theme is for leaks. Now while this application cant fix the memory leak issue, its there to make it less of a surprise and prevents freezes and slow downs. MeterBerry will continue to monitor your BlackBerrys memory and battery levels and let you know when they are getting a little low. One of the cool features is than when your memory drops below a certain thresh hold you can actually have the app reboot your BlackBerry for you, eliminating the freezes and OS slowdowns.

MeterBerry is the current deal of the day in theBerryFix.com app store, it’s on sale for $1.97 down from $3.95. That’s a great deal for what I think is a must have application. MeterBerry deal of the day is for the 9700 but this application is available for Curve 8520/30, Storm, Storm2, Tour running OS 4.7 or higher.

RIM has released Blackberry Messenger version 5.0.1.5 to a select group of testers in the Blackberry Beta Zone program.  While we can not release any data about the app, we will say there are no visible changes at first glance.  We figured we would inform our readers, since every other site already has, that this test has begun and that they should keep checking the Blackberry Beta Zone to see if they have been added to the Beta list for this app.  You can click the link below to sign up for the Blackberry Beta Zone.
