iSkin launches the aura case for BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930
11:04 am on Nov 8, 2011 | Leave a comment

I’m not going to lie, finding a case that fits your phone exactly how you like is almost as hard as finding a needle in the Atlantic Ocean. On my last browse on the net, I was able to find a new case from iSkin that not only looks sleek and sexy, it also offers a lot of protection. The case offers a high level of protection while only adding mere millimeters to the size of your BlackBerry. The iSkin Aura is available in white and black for $39.99, an average price for what seems to be an above average case.

One accessory that you’d probably never think you would want would be a desktop stand for your smartphone. Don’t worry, before I tried the Clingo podium mount I thought the same thing. The team over at Clingo sent us over a few of their accessories to try out and I’m actually quite impressed. Gone are the days of finding the proper mount for your phone, just use the self adhesive sticky pad and it becomes a mount for anything…you can even mount two BlackBerrys together. Honestly, I couldn’t really find anything wrong with this accessory, it even holds my PlayBook while I’m at my desk, so it’s definitely a win in my books. You can pick up the Clingo podium for $34.99 from Clingo.com, or your local electronics store like BestBuy. To get a better idea on how Clingo products will work in your life, take a look at the video above.

Hey everyone! Justin here with my first accessory review for the BlackBerry PlayBook. I just got a few new cases for the PlayBook a few weeks back and I have been trying them out for review. Today I’m bringing my first PlayBook case review, the BlackBerry PlayBook Leather Sleeve. The leather sleeve for PlayBook is much like the leather pockets for BlackBerry Smartphones. The PlayBook slides in for protection while in transit or storage and must be removed for use. You can watch the video above to see the leather sleeve in action and then head on past the break for a more detailed review of the BlackBerry PlayBook Leather Sleeve.

Video Review: OEM Leather Sleeve for the BlackBerry PlayBook

It’s certainly not hard to find any decent PlayBook accessories, go to any electronics store and there seems to be a small stash of accessories to outfit your new tablet available.
the latest accessory to cross my desk is the BlackBerry PlayBook Leather Sleeve. The leather sleeve is exactly what it sounds like, a sleeve made of genuine high quality leather (well, that’s what the box says) and it has quickly become one of my favourite cases for the PlayBook, but let the video do the talking and stop reading.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that reads the site that I’m a huge fan of the JAWBONE JAMBOX, a portable bluetooth speaker that also lets you make calls. We featured it a few weeks back and I’ve been using it daily since then, so when JAWBONE let me know that they are offering a giant chain to go along with your JAMBOX I had to post on it (think the giant chain and clock found in the music videos of yester year).
The best part is that the jam chain is free! Thats right you heard it. All you have to sign up and download an app onto your JAMBOX, apps like text-to-speech and FREE 411 all from your JAMBOX when paired to a cellphone. After you have completed this ever so daunting task (insert sarcasm here) of downloading an app you will be eligible to receive your very own JAM chain, just have to pay shipping. If you haven’t picked up a JAMBOX then I ask you this……what are you waiting for! Head over to JAWBONE.com or BestBuy and get your music on.

GelaSkins artwork now available for the BlackBerry PlayBook
12:23 pm on Jun 1, 2011 | Leave a comment

After getting my PlayBook and downloading some sweet apps like FaceBook, Blaq and Dillo Hills I’m now hunting for accessories to make my PlayBook my own. I came across GelaSkins a company that makes essentially a big sticker for your device and prints a design on it, making it yours. The best part about the skins are that they also add protection to your PlayBook and are quite cheap at $19.95.
I’m placing an order for a few of them and I’ll be sure to do a hands on video so everyone can get a look at the process of putting it on and how it looks on the PlayBook. Until then if your itching to get one head on over to GelaSkins.com and see what design suites your personality.

Protect your BlackBerry PlayBook with a Zip Sleeve from Shop BlackBerry
5:01 pm on May 24, 2011 | Leave a comment

I am somewhat of an accessory junky and since my BlackBerry PlayBook is a new addition to my device collection I have not had much chance to get many accessories for it. I have been perusing the OEM accessory collection on Shop BlackBerry and today I picked out a zip sleeve for it. The zip sleeve is somewhat similar to the slip on sleeve that comes with the PlayBook but has a memory foam padding and the zipper goes 3/4 of the way around the sleeve making it slightly easier to get in and out. The primary reason that this case stood out to me is that it comes in a bright orange color(Fresh Orange) that is slightly uncharacteristic for RIM’s OEM accessories. The sleeve is also available in black, grey, and blue.

You really start to get an idea of when a product is close to launch based on the accessories that will be available. Early this week we saw Truesupplier list some PlayBook replacements digitizers and now OtterBox has posted the PlayBook defender case online as “Coming Soon”, often the more accessories that pop up the closer you are to the product launch and by the looks of things we are only a few weeks away.
I’m just about ready to play some Need for Speed on my PlayBook, what about you?
