While RIM didn’t demo the next generation of the BlackBerry PlayBook OS during the keynote they did hand out developer preview PlayBooks that were pre loaded with the new OS.
PlayBook OS 2 brings a lot of features that people had complained about, things like folders, a more responsive OS and updated native applications like YouTube and the BlackBerry Music App. One thing I must note is that this version did not have native PIM apps like email and calendars, but we’ve been assured that they will launch with PlayBook OS 2 which is “coming soon”.
