RIM has just sent out another OS update for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The new update brings the PlayBook OS to v1.0.6.2390. This update also brings two big updates. First is the addition of Adobe Flash 10.3. Having the latest and greatest version of Flash Player will make the PlayBook’s web browsing and Flash content playing much smoother. The second addition in this update is Adobe AIR 2.7. This will allow your PlayBook access to new applications that are built using the AIR 2.7 framework.

Now I know you were all hoping for the addition of native email and maybe even a native Twitter app. Don’t worry, those things are in the pipeline and will be rolling out sooner than you think. For now, just grab the update and begin to experience a whole new level of Flash-based browsing on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Just hit the update software button when prompted or go to the software update tab in settings to force the update.
