While gearing up for BlackBerry DevCon 2011, RIM has released a little surprise for Mac users. BlackBerry Desktop Manager v2.2.0.17 for Mac is now available for download and you should be receiving the update when you start up DM on your Mac. There’s no word on what has changed in this update but we aren’t seeing any immediate changes. The most likely changes are bug fixes, preparation for the new BlackBerry 7 devices, and compatibility with the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 launch.
