The feud between Verizon and AT&T has been going on for years but just recently things have started to heat up. The recent launch of “The Droid does” ads brought the conflict to the publics eye, truthfully it’s beginning to get quite humorous with all the combating ads. This isn’t really BlackBerry news but it pertains to the networks your devices run on so we felt you should be kept up to date. In the most recent television ad they have Luke Wilson uploading him self on the AT&T network and also on the Verizon network, and they are suggesting that the big red’s network is so slow it cant even compete. They must have been in a concert bunker with the AT&T micro cell next to him.

It has been some time since my space for blackberry received an update but we can all see why, Rim has been hard at work completely rebuilding the My Space app. The new app is still in beta but that hasn’t stopped Rim from letting you download it. Open app world on your BlackBerry and start the download.
Take a look at the change log after the break.

A few weeks ago we got wind that the AT&T 8520 would be in stores within the next few weeks, even with that we didn’t exactly have a date set in stone. A few AT&T stores are receiving there shipments today. We were told that a few stores in North Carolina are receiving units. This must mean the launch is immanent.

OS 5.0.0.371 has leaked from waterloo, head over to the download site and try it out. Remember this is a leaked os and not an official release from RIM, theberryfix.com is not responsible if something goes wrong during the process. So having said that grab a coffee and let the downloading begin, don’t forget to post your findings in the comments.

I bought TweetGenius for my storm 9530 pretty much the first day the app was available before the Beejive days, But at that time the support for the storm well it wasn’t there. I continued to use it through the hard times because I knew that someday it would shine. About 6 months later after the beejive merger, The app is all grown up. i’m feeling pretty confident in saying it is the best Twitter app for the blcakberry and I can back that up. One of the big things that make TweetGenius the best is the UI. TweetGenius doesn’t have the look that an app for the 8700 series would have its fresh and competes with the big dogs like poynt. Now almost all twitter apps do an equal job at giving you your tweet feed so I wont put apples against apples, but no other twitter app has consistency of TweetGenius in delivering your tweets consistently. The other big players (I have found) often have system issues and are down for hours, for me that would be a huge issue because I use twitter for business, that would be almost as bad as BIS or BES going down for a few hours.
Go download TweetGenius for only $7.99 and you wont be disappointed.

Most of us are stuck at a desk throughout the week, and find ourselves reaching for our Blackberry’s more often than anything else. Why? New emails, new pin messages, new sms, calls… I’m willing to do what’s needed to be more efficient, whether that means an extra few minutes to answer messages from co-workers and clients, or watch the latest greatest on youtube. The Blurts app is simple, small and great, the Blackberry app weighs in at approximately 122kB, and the PC install is just shy of 500kB. It supports Blackberry devices running OS 4.2.1 or higher. Read the review after the break.
