Well, after a long break I’m back. I traveled for over two weeks, and really got to learn a lot about different cultures. I got the opportunity to  walk into different phone companies around the coast, and explore new devices not yet released in Canada or the US. I spoke to a few different people on what device they prefer, sell, and use, but was not surprised with the result. Seemed to be a pretty even split between iPhone users and Blackberry users.

Out of the BB users I spoke to, they all focused on a particular favourite over the iPhone – personalization. Like me, and most users reading this, they enjoy adding themes and applications, and having fun with their device. It’s what really stood out to me the most. I’ve been using the same theme for a while now, and really loved it. Now it’s time for a change. This week I’m going to bring you some themes I think everyone will enjoy. Some are for the fun/childish side of life, but some are for the ones with business phones, who want to keep it professional.

After the long month of April, May is here, and with all the showers we’ve had lately, it better bring some amazing flowers. With that will come a new batch of awesome Blackberry’s and some really cool new themes. This week I wanted to take a look at some up and coming developers with some very different themes. The spring weather is slowly bringing us a taste of summer, and it’s a taste we’re really enjoying.  Along with spring brings a whole lot of new apps to have on your phone. I tried to stick with applications that are a little on the cheaper side, but still offer you some pretty cool features. The simplest application can be the best and most fun, but you never know until you try. By the end of this week you’ll have applications to help ease your stress, a game to help pass the time, the ability to tell any one any Canadian holiday, and have e-mails load fully – pictures included.

After a long awaited  week, I can finally get back to my normal groove of things. I’ve been constantly looking through applications to find the ones I think have the most appeal at the moment. Right now I like simplifying things, and being able to customize things a little more. I found applications that help me when my memory gets the best of me, and how to improve problem solving skills.

After a wicked joke by winter, I finally feel that spring is on its way. Cars are parked on the road again, kids are outside later and longer, and it seems all the snow is disappeared. My arms are completely open to the spring and summer weather.  People will be happier, shopping more, and changing a few habits. One of my new habits will be changing  my personal Blackberry themes. My 9800 needs to be customized as often as I possibly can get it. With this I will be bringing some awesome new themes your way, so all readers can follow suit.  This week you’ll get a good taste of a theme geared more towards a male audience,  a cool spring theme applicable for anyone, and a neat twist on the familiar OS 6.0 operating system.

With a cruise planned in less than a month, and starting a new job at work, I wanted to take a look at some applications that could, and would, help me get a little more organized. I still have tonnes of stuff to do, and my life is a little chaotic, but with help from these applications, things will get a little easier to handle.

I am bringing an awesome flight tracker application, that’s simple and quick to use for flight information. Also, there is an amazing Calendar application that will place a calendar right on your home page… no more researching. I found an easy way to get my phone to stop changing from landscape to portrait all the time – which trust me is a HUGE issue with me. Lastly a pretty cool application that will help you read in the dark without inferring with anyone else.

March is slowly coming to an abrupt end, and for me it’s gone by faster than ever. I’ve had an awesome month and i’m kind of sad to see it go. A theme review on my birthday! How fitting. I get to celebrate my birthday and share some awesome new themes with you. This week I was drawn to themes that were comfortable, but new and fun. I brought you themes that have a slight change from your comfortable default theme, right to a theme literally flipped thirty degrees. I without a doubt have fallen in love with these three themes here for you today.

After quite a few instances this past week, I learned that I needed some new helpful applications on my phone. I had to stop being late for work, because I so easily hit the snooze or dismiss button on my phone. I also knew that I needed to know an average time of battery life so when I was without a charger or charging port I knew approximately how long I’d be without my phone (or how to use my phone a little more wisely). Sometimes I need to know where my phone has gone, and who I left it with last. Lastly I had an important meeting, forgot to turn my phone on silent and was embarrassed by “Grenade” in the middle of my co-workers. With all these frustrations I KNEW I had to find some sort of applications to lower my embarrassment. I hope that you find these applications just as useful as I have.

As my busy month of March takes off I began to look for themes that were organized, relaxing, and somewhat calming. I found that there are so many awesome themes out there, that it was hard to narrow it down. I took a good look at the sleekness of some themes, the simplistic nature, and what adds a little bit of “fun” to the phone. I’m really excited about the themes I’m reviewing today as all of them are unique, and offer their own special features. I never found my Blackberry slow or lagging, which is essential to me with a theme.

Hey Guys! Welcome to my app review of the week. As often as I use my Blackberry, I often forget about simple things to make it easier and faster to use. I have duplicate contacts in my phone, and don’t have the time or energy to go through them all. In the odd time I’ve actually deleted some duplicates, I have noticed I deleted the wrong one. I’ve been watching a lot of my friends with Android phones and have been completely jealous of their pattern lock entry screens. Not only that, but I’ve also had ridiculous broadcast BBM messages sent out when I have put my phone down and it’s gotten into the wrong hands. With all these issues I’ve had, I found awesome applications that are sure to solve these problems and more. Check them out, after the cut!
